Extended University English Program

This one semester course is for ANU students, undergraduate or postgraduate, who want to enhance their English language abilities whilst studying their degree program.
Aim: To provide English language support to international students from non-English-speaking backgrounds in the first year of their study at ANU.
The support:
- covers both general academic English and discipline-specific language requirements;
- also addresses cross-cultural communication skills and expectations, especially in an Australian academic milieu.
Class times:
Two 2-hour classes (4 hours total) per week over 13 weeks.
Individual study and preparation is also required between classes.
This course runs in each of Semester 1 & 2, 2008 and follows the ANU semester dates. Class times are below:
Group 1
Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:00pm - 6:00pm
Group 2
Wednesdays and Fridays 2:00pm - 4:00pm
COST:
$600 for ANU students.

Please note that this course in not accredited by NEAS neither is it CRICOS registered. It is not available to holders of student visas as their principle course of study.
