foundation studies Entry Requirements

To be admitted to the The Foundation Studies Program, you must meet both ACADEMIC and ENGLISH LANGUAGE requirements.

Minimum academic levels for international students are shown for countries below.

Admission to the Two-term Foundation Studies program generally requires the successful completion of Year 12 or equivalent. Admission to the One-Year program generally requires the successful completion of Year 11 or equivalent.

Applicants whose Year 12 results do not qualify for admission to the Two-Term program may be considered for entry into the One-Year program. International Students completing an Australian Year 12 qualification will be assessed on an individual case-by-case basis.

Except where your studies have been conducted in English, you need a qualification in one of the following international English language tests. If you have not reached the required score for English language, you need to study English before you commence Foundation Studies. We will enrol you in a suitable English language course at ANU College.
