All about the program

Recently the Department of Immigration, Multiculturalism and Indigenous Affairs’ (DIMIA) amended its visa requirements for international students.

Assessment Level 3 & 4 applicants may now meet visa requirements for a student visa – subclass 573 – if you:

  • have completed Year 11 in your country; and
  • are enrolled in a Foundation course of one year in Australia.

ANU College has developed a one year Foundation program to meet your needs.

Course information

Duration: Three terms, each comprising 14 weeks tuition, i.e. a total of 42 weeks tuition.

Cost: Tuition fees are $18,500

Entry Requirements: In terms of English, these are the same as for the regular Foundation program, namely overall band 5.5 with a minimum of 5 on the writing test. The academic entry has been set at successful completion of Year 11 with an overall grade average of 75% or students completing Year 12 with an overall average of between 60 - 69%.

Assessment: Ongoing assessment during the course by means of various assessment tasks and end-of-term exams (30-40% weighting). Foundation Maths units require an examination weighting of at least 80%.

Intakes: Three intakes per year: February, June and October.

The course dates for students undertaking the One-Year program are identical to the dates for the Two-Term program.
