About ANU College

ANU College welcomes international students planning to study, travel and work in Australia. Located on the campus of The Australian National University (ANU) and a short walk from the central business district of Canberra, ANU College delivers the English language and academic programs that provide pathways to the ANU.

ANU College provides the following programs:

  • ELICOS program: Caters for a range of language levels from Pre-Intermediate to Advanced. IELTS preparation is included at Intermediate and Upper Intermediate levels. (Elementary students by special arrangement).
  • Pathway to Foundation (English for Academic Purposes): A 15-week program designed for students who have an IELTS of 5.0 (with no band score less than 4.5) and may wish to enrol in the ANU Foundation Studies Program at ANU College.
  • Foundation Studies Program: An excellent pathway for entry to undergraduate courses at The Australian National University. There are two ANU Foundation Programs to choose from: a Two Semester Foundation Studies Program and a One-Year Foundation Studies Program.
  • ANU ACCESS English Program: A 10-week English program which runs twice a year and is designed for students who have already received a conditional offer letter from the ANU. Students must also have an IELTS 6.0 (with no band less than 5.0) to complete their English requirement in time to begin their undergraduate or postgraduate studies.
  • Study Tours: Short courses combining English language tuition with cultural and discipline specific activities, such as sport and health.
  • Extended University English: This one semester course is for students enrolled in degree programs at the ANU who want to enhance their English language abilities whilst studying at university.
  • Associate Degree: A recognised post secondary, two year qualification accredited against higher education requirements. Typically the Associate Degree emphasises the foundational, research-based knowledge of an academic discipline.
  • Maths Bridging: Designed for domestic students wanting to extend their all-round mathematical skills.

ANU College provides the following services:

  • Homestay accommodation service: ANU College manages an extensive and highly successful homestay accommodation program that sees over 300 students each year happily settle into life in Canberra.
  • Canberra airport greeting: This service is available to all students commencing study at ANU College.
