* FS Extended Semesters 2 & 3 are co-taught with FS Standard students
The ANU College Foundation Studies Program is an excellent pathway into the ANU. The subjects on offer within the Foundation Studies program have been specially designed to provide students with appropriate academic preparation for their intended ANU degree. Upon successful completion of the Foundation Studies program and meeting the ANU entry requirements, entry to the student's chosen undergraduate degree course is guaranteed.
FSStandard (2 semesters)
TheStandard Foundation Studies program requires students to complete eight subjects to graduate from the program, comprising: Academic English, Advanced Academic English and six degree-related and elective subjects.
FS Extended (3 semesters)
TheExtended Foundation Studies program requires students to successfully complete the following units in their first semester, all of which are compulsory: Foundation English; History of Maths; Communication Studies; History Makers, and Computing Fundamentals.
The second and third semesters of the course follow the same structure as the FS Standard program.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Entry into the ANU College Foundation Studies program is dependent on the ANU College academic and English language entry requirements.

Students must:

Be at least 17 years old before they begin their studies at ANU College;
- Apply for a student visa to enrol in this course.
Students intending to enrol in the ANU should be aware that the University requires students to be at least 18 years of age within the first 6 weeks of the start of their degree program.
*Australian citizens and students holding Australian permanent residency (PR), who have completed overseas academic qualifications, can also apply for ANU College Foundation Studies.
The English and academic entry requirements and the application procedure for Australian citizens and students holding Australian PRĀ are the same as international students'.
The ANU College Foundation Studies Program meets the requirements for Foundation Programs which have been registered on CRICOS for delivery in Australia to overseas students providing an academic preparation for seeking entry to first year undergraduate study or its equivalent.
